The Iftar (break fast) is a meal eaten after sunset during the daily fasting which Muslims observe during the month of Ramadan. We are honored to have guest speakers who will share their stories as queer & ally Muslims. A Halal/ Kosher catered meal provided by Ta'eem Grill will be served. Thank you to our co-sponsors Adat Ari El, IKAR, Temple Israel of Hollywood, NewGround, and Muslims for Progressive Values.

And a huge thank you to our volunteer facilitator, Marium F. Mohiuddin, a deeply committed LGBTQ ally who has spent many years working for inclusion and acceptance of LGBTQ people in the Muslim community. She has been a tremendous ally to JQ and works with us to make this Iftar Shabbat a reality.

Come mingle, eat and hear the stories as we will celebrate Shabbat and the Iftar together as our community expands and promotes even greater inclusion.
